Evangelization and Faith Formation

MINISTRY OVERVIEW

WHO WE ARE

The Office for Evangelization and Faith Formation of the Diocese of Orange seeks to fulfill the command of Jesus Christ to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matt: 28:18-20). In accordance with the Strategic Plan of the Diocese of Orange, we do this by promoting a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the worthy celebration of the Sacraments, and on-going participation in Catholic faith formation.

This is also supported through the Office for Parish Evangelization and Faith Formation which provides resources and tools for parishes, assesses needs, and facilitates networking for parishes staff members supporting faith formation ministries serving children as well as adults.

Emmaus Institute  teaches and shapes the catechetical leadership of the Diocese. Catholic school teachers, catechists and ministry leaders learn to teach the authentic faith of Christ and the Church in a way that engages the listener, supporting the learner on the path of missionary discipleship. All people are welcomed and encouraged to join in learning and developing their Catholic faith.
